Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

The first season introduces a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the creator commented earlier this year. "But I feel like me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how fast the new season moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on October 29.
